Ann Carney joined the Partnership for Better Health in August of 2023. As Finance Director, Ann is responsible for leading the foundation’s accounting, investment, fiscal management, and HR benefits administration systems.
Ann brings over 35 years of experience in nonprofit finance and business banking to our work. Prior to joining the Partnership, Ann served for eight years as Finance Director for Community CARES, a local nonprofit agency serving people experiencing homelessness and housing insecurity. During her time at CARES, Ann oversaw all aspects of fiscal management, including policy development, budgeting, planning and financial operations. She guided the coordination of human resources, including benefits administration, and she led grant management (i.e., grant applications, reporting and fiscal oversight of grant contracts and awards). Through Community CARES, Ann understands the importance of safe, affordable housing, and the tremendous impact that homelessness and housing insecurity have on the health and well-being of people living in our communities.
Ann’s professional experience includes serving for ten years as the lead finance administrator for the White Planes Children’s Center. She also served as a senior auditor and audit analyst with Mellon Bank Corporation and as an assistant vice president and trust tax supervisor for Key Trust Company of Indiana. Ann is currently the finance administrator for Middlesex United Methodist Church, where she volunteers on the church’s leadership council, stewardship team, and endowment committee.
Ann holds a Bachelor of Science in business administration from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, with a major in accounting and a minor in finance.
