Tim joined the Partnership in October of 2024, after more than 20 years in government and community-based public health in Massachusetts, Florida, Michigan, and Wisconsin. He has worked across sectors to bring people and organizations together to address inequities and systemic barriers to achieving a more inclusive and just society. He is especially focused on nurturing relationships with people and organizations that have historically lacked a seat at the tables where community health policies and programs are created. In both Jacksonville, Florida and Flint, Michigan Tim increased access to health care services for homeless and low-income residents through federally qualified health centers and mobile health clinics. At every step of his professional journey, he has enhanced the capacity for the identification and addressing of local needs through community-based, participatory research and planning activities. Living and working in a wide variety of communities has helped him develop a strong sense of place-based and community-directed social change. Tim holds a Masters of Public Health degree from the University of Michigan and a Masters in the Sociology of Health and Illness from Brandeis University.
